When it comes to starting or advancing your yoga practice, there are certain things that every person should know. And while we love a good hack sometimes it’s good to be reminded that what will make you better at your yoga practice is actually quite simple.
In other words: You don’t need to drink mushroom tea every day. Stand on your head before bed, or runaway and become a hermit on some remote mountain.
You just need to follow these crazy easy tips below.
1. Practice consistently
It’s not sexy to say, but it’s true. Hold yourself accountable, make a plan and stick to it. Create a schedule you can keep up with. That’s the key. Make it easy. Start by going to a couple of class per week and go from there.
2. Be conscious of how yoga is affecting your everyday life
It’s easy to start new goals without looking at how you are achieving those already set in place. Notice your positive outlook, your posture, how you react to things around you, and how you breathe in stressful situations – these are all benefits of good yoga practice.

Take the time to visit several studios, trying different types of classes, and learning from several teachers. You’ll know when you’ve found the right combo.

If you are hate doing yoga, then you are doing it wrong people. That goes for any goal. If you hate it then you need to rethink why you are doing it in the first place.
